A clear view of what comes next

Two journeys,
handled with care.

Every move has its own details, but these are the main milestones you can expect.

Selling a property

From sale agreed to completion

  • Agree and instruct

Once your sale is agreed, appoint a conveyancer and complete the initial onboarding and identity checks.

  • Prepare the contract pack

Complete the property information forms. Your conveyancer prepares the draft contract and requests a management pack if needed.

  • Resolve enquiries and prepare

Respond to the buyer’s solicitor, agree a completion date, arrange mortgage redemption figures and review your completion statement.

  • Exchange, then complete

After final checks, contracts are exchanged and the agreed completion date becomes binding. On completion, the sale proceeds are used to repay any mortgage.

Buying a property

From offer accepted to keys

  • Instruct and get started

Appoint a conveyancer, complete identity checks and provide the information needed for source-of-funds checks.

  • Investigate the property

Your conveyancer reviews the contract, title, searches, management pack if applicable, and your mortgage offer; they raise enquiries where needed.

  • Review, agree and prepare

Your conveyancer reports on the findings, agrees a completion date with the parties, and confirms the funds needed to complete.

  • Exchange, complete and register

Once final checks are complete, contracts are exchanged. On completion you can collect the keys; your conveyancer then applies to register your ownership.
